2. It will help you establish cross-cultural friendships.
Who doesn’t want to meet new people and make new friends? this might be a little hard if you don’t know each other’s mother tongues. here is where the second language comes in handy. not only will it help you to communicate with a native speaker of the language, learn more about the language itself and the culture, but it will also be a great practice opportunity for you
3. it will improve your learning skills
the more you learn, the better you get at it. the first foreign language might seem hard, but with a bit of a practice and grammar, you’ll be surprised how much of the language you can understand and use. with each new language, you will get better at learning and will know which learning method works for you the best.
4. you can read literature in the original language
whether your chosen second language is an international one or a minor language it doesn’t matter. there is always an original artwork to explore in any language and culture. language learning will give you the opportunity to explore a whole new culture. there might be some good translations out there, but still the original version is undoubtedly better.
